BB Cream also called Blemish Balm Cream.  What is this product really used for?  Well it’s actually given by surgeons to their clients that underwent surgery and they want to make their scars to heal faster and not seem as visible.  This is pretty popular in Korean considering the number of young OR old people going off to get plastic surgery.
This cream was then used to soothe, moisturize, protect and give your skin a natural coverage.  It is even said to heal and hide any “blemishes” or scars on your face, thus the name “Blemish Balm”.  At first it was only used by stars, but now most people are aware about it and use it as a foundation or make up base.  Of course, who wouldn’t want this 4 in 1 multifunctional cream, but it’s actually only sold in Korean-branded cosmetic stores or in Korea itself!

Circle Lenses, what are circle lenses?  They are cosmetic contact lenses that are used to enlarge the look of your irises.  How does it work?  Well, instead of the usual colour contacts that only have the size of your actual iris pigmented, the circle lens only has a black ring that is meant to surround your iris.  Thus making it appear bigger.  Have you ever wondered why and how “ulzzangs” (Korean for ‘best-face’) has such big eyes, and you always envied them and questioned why your parents didn’t bless you with them as well?  Well to your relief, they’re not real!  (Although some people that aren’t aware of this product, resort to Photoshop and distorting their pictures.  So it might not have been all the people you’ve seen on the internet or media.) This product gives you the doll-like eyes without the help of computer-generated images.  It is already being used by a huge population, (in Japan, China, and even here!) but they are potential health hazards due to the largeness of the lens; it prevents oxygen from entering your eyes, and will often dry out the natural moisture from your eyes. Also, they may alter your vision, and make it poorer than it already is, permanently.

Double Eyelids, so here is the thing, double eyelids are the “in” thing to have in Korea.  People do it to achieve the appearance of bigger eyes.  But not many are lucky enough to have them.  So they result to aesthetic eyelid surgery, which again is plastic surgery, or for low budget teens that don’t want to go through the process of scarring, healing, and dishing out buckets of money, they result to the inexpensive eyelid glue or tape.  But mind you, the process of applying it is very tedious and may take a long time depending on how much you have perfected it.  How do you use it?  Firstly, for the eyelid glue, you use a plastic prong, looks similar to a fork, apply adhesive or surgical glue and you  use the prong to push into your desired eyelid fold and repeat till you have achieved the look you want.  (But be careful as to not poking yourself in the eye!) Sound easy?  It actually takes quite a bit of time.  The latter option is much easier; you just use the tape the part you want your eyelid to crease.

Small Noses, along with your big eyes, you need a small nose to compliment it.  Along with small mouth, small face, small frame.  But this is about rhinoplasty surgery, or nose reshaping surgery.  People normally go through this process because they went through a life-traumatizing accident and their nose turned out unproportional and wish to “fix” it, or they have nasal blockage and want to “clear the way”.  But most Koreans just do it for the fashion.  There is no actual DIY way to “fix” your nose, but it is said that you could purchase this nose clip to clamp your nose together and remold it, but it most likely won’t work for anyone below the ages of 12.

Milk White Skin, so you may have noticed that very few Koreans have tanned skin.  (Either they choose to be tanned, or they’re born that way and can’t help it.)  But most maintain their pale skin, or at least they try to.  There are a few techniques they use to obtain this look.  One way is to switch your normal bath soap with a special kind of soap that whitens your skin.  This is called Likas Papaya Soap.  If you use it, it will lighten your skin pigment in a matter of days or weeks.  It is a pure and organic herbal soap containing papaya enzymes and tropical herbs to whiten your skin.

Secondly, and easiest way of accomplishing this is using foundation and concealer.  Although many of you make up experts already know this, but for those who don’t, using green or purple make up base (depending on the shade of your skin, or skin type) can reduce the redness of your natural skin, thus making it lighter in shade.

And of course, last but not least, there are whiteners you can buy.  For example, pearl whiteners, which are crushed up pearl powders that contain the ability to enhance the whiteness of your skin.  Or serums that you use to put on your face, over night, or whenever, to make your skin lighter in shade, of course, these can take a lot out of your wallets.

"Plastic Surgery", although you all may be thinking about Michael Jackson and his face job, and how no one in the right mind would actually go that extreme.  But there are!  There are actually people around the world using this method to change the “ethnic” of the way they look.  For example, there has been rumored that this model wanted to get “Asian Eyes”, and there are people even desperate enough to change the whole look of their face.  You may not know this but this is actually something really big in Korea.  A lot of you may think that this is a very shallow thing to do because it shows how vain and desperate a person can get just for the sake of beauty.  But in Korea, this is an everyday common thing, if you wake up in the morning and you don’t like what you see, get plastic surgery!  (Of course this is an exaggeration, but you get the point.)  All of the beauty trends listed above are all easier, inexpensive, and not permanent methods (incase you want to change back to the way you looked before), but plastic surgery can achieve the look for a life time.
